Terms of Use

1. Agreement Terms. All and any access to the Trade and Investment Information System (hereinafter: the TIIS) is governed by these terms and conditions ("Terms"). If you do not accept any of these Terms, exit immediately. If you continue, this means that you have accepted these Terms and you will be subject thereto. In these Terms, the words "we", "our" and "us" refers to Jordan's Trade and Investment entities: Ministry of Industry and Trade, Department of Statistics, Customs Department, Government Performance Directorate, Jordan Investment Board, Central Bank of Jordan, Companies Controller's Department, Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Amman Chamber of Industry and Jordan Industrial Estates Corporation.

3. Right of Access. We reserve all rights to deny or restrict access to the TIIS to any particular person, or to block access from a particular Internet address to the TIIS, at any time, without ascribing any reasons whatsoever.

4. Restrictions on use of Materials. Except as otherwise provided, the Contents of the TIIS shall not be reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted or otherwise distributed in any way, without the prior written permission of the Government. The material on this site is protected under the Jordanian Copyright Law No. (14) of 1998.

5. Security. Most of the activity at the TIIS involves the viewing of public information, however the privacy of users is secured.

6. Hyperlinks. It is not allowed to link to the TIIS from external websites without our approval. We are also not responsible or liable for the availability or services or content of any other Internet site (not provided by us) linked to or from the TIIS. Access to any other Internet site is at your own risk. If you create a link or frame to the TIIS, you do so at your own risk. We reserve the right to object or disable any link or frame to or from the TIIS. We reserve the right to change the URL of the TIIS. In no circumstances shall the TIIS unit be considered to be associated or affiliated with any trade or service marks, logos, insignia or other devices used or appearing on web sites to which the TIIS is linked.

7. Intellectual Property. Materials, pages, documents and online graphics, audio and video in the TIIS are protected by the Jordanian intellectual property laws. The intellectual property rights in the materials is owned by or licensed to us. All rights reserved. (Government of Jordan � 2005). Apart from any fair dealings for the purposes of private study, research, criticism or review, as permitted in law, no part of the TIIS may be reproduced or reused for any commercial purposes whatsoever without our prior written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability. The Government of Jordan shall not, at any time, be liable for any damage or loss of any kind, howsoever caused as a result (either direct or indirect) of the use of, or the inability to use, the materials and services in the TIIS.

9. Disclaimer. Information at this site is provided solely for the user's information and, although considered accurate, it is provided strictly without warranty of any kind. The government, any entities or individuals associated with this site will not be liable to you for any direct or indirect damages, or lost profits due to your use of information provided at this site, or information provided at any other site that can be accessed from the site.

10. Fees. There are currently no fees for using any part of the TIIS. We are not responsible for any fees charged by any other Internet site (not provided by us).

11. Indemnity. The user agrees to indemnify, and hold that the Government of Jordan is insured and protected against all damages, costs and expenses, related to any violation of these conditions by himself or by any other person acting on his behalf in using the TIIS or transmitting or distributing any information or other elements contained therein.

12. Applicable Laws. Use of the TIIS and these Terms are governed by the laws of Jordan. Any claim relating to use of the TIIS shall be heard by Jordanian Courts.

13. Variation. We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. You should visit this page from time to time and review the then current Terms because they are binding to you. We may modify or discontinue any information or features that form part of the TIIS at any time, with or without notice to you, and without liability.

14. Violations. Unauthorized attempts to defeat or circumvent security features, to use the system for other than intended purposes, to deny service to authorized users, to access, obtain, alter, damage, or destroy information, or otherwise to interfere with the system or its operation are prohibited and may result in criminal prosecution enacted legislation.
